Here’s a new favorite of mine. This was the first full album I purchased from iTunes. Usually I go buy the CD and then immediately rip it onto my computer in a couple of formats and then file away the disk. This time, I just needed some good tunes right away. Michael Franti and Spearhead came through for me in a big way. For me this is one of those albums that I can’t get enough of. I could wax poetic about the stories, ideas and sounds but this is about music. If things seem a little gloomy outside do yourself a favor and check this one out.

Here’s another one of my favorites. Radiohead, The Bends is filled with interesting textured sounds and the performance comes across with plenty of passion. This album makes me want to jump up and dance.

Here’s one of my favorite albums. What’s an album? You’re too young to be reading this blog, get outta here. Just kidding, you’re the reason I’m writing this post.

It seems that the single is dominating the music industry these days so I thought I would share some of my thoughts on some of my favorite albums, or collection of songs be it record, cd or even download.

The first in my series is Skip, Hop And Wobble
by Jerry Douglas, Russ Barenberg, and Edgar Meyer. The recording quality is excellent and the musicianship is inspiring and soulful. I recommend this one to all of my musician friends.
